Salmon Ruins is in Bloomfield, New Mexico just down the road east of Farmington.
There are two parts (well really three) to Salmon Ruins:
1. The excavated site of an old outlying Chacoan pueblo village from the 11th Century.
2. The remains of an old 19th century farm where the Salmon family lived.
3. A center for archaeology and history of the site and the area.
We had fun wandering around and learning a little more about the ancestral Chacoan Pueblo culture of a thousand years ago.
