Oh, my wonderful penstemons!
They are everywhere. Every year they multiply. Our front yard is full of them, and they bloom for a long time in the early summer.
Right now our penstemons are in full bloom, turning our yard into a wonderful happy flower garden:

Beautiful. They look sorta like snapdragons, don't they?
Yes, the do look like snapdragons. My daughter in law was guessing that they are in the same family.
But the penstemons seem to be very adapted to our altitude, low humidity and scarce water.
They not only thrive here, but they multiply like crazy.
