March Madness

We may be in New Mexico, but we are still Kansas Jayhawk fans forever.

Our team is #1 in the country going into the final week before The Big Dance, the NCAA tournament, begins.

The KU flag was a Christmas gift from my son Brian and daughter-in-Law Katy, and it is flying today over a proud Jayhawk house.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk in Boulder Colorado

Last Saturday we went to a Kansas-Colorado Big 12 Football game in Boulder, at Folsom Field at the University of Colorado.

Being the visiting team, we were significantly outnumbered, but we sat in the visitors section with hundreds of Jayhawk fans and we had a ball! Singing, cheering, chanting, and waving the wheat; hugging and high-fiving perfect strangers. Unfortunately all of our enthusiasm and Jayhawk spirit didn't result in a win for our previously-undefeated team. The final score was 34-30, but other than the loss, it was a perfect day in Boulder, and we all had a great time!
