Home again

We arrived home last night six hours later than expected due to flight delays and a missed flight on the East Coast. Then our flight from Baltimore to ABQ was a turbulent ride for the entire four hours. I am a white knuckle flier, and I was terrified until I saw the landscape of New Mexico below me.

If some of you have never flown over New Mexico, it is QUITE A SIGHT from the sky. Looks just like a topographical map.

It was great to land at the ABQ Sunport at 6:30 p.m. and it really felt good to get home to Santa Fe and our mountains an hour later.

(I BORROWED THE PICTURE OF THE SUNPORT FROM THE ALBUQUERQUE OFFICIAL WEBSITE.)

Got several days of catching up to do. Seeing all the family members and catching up with some friends was just wonderful for a week. Returning home is good, too.

I've been missing you. Glad you are home safely.

I'm a white-knuckle flier, too. Kinda ironic for a guy who spent 22 years in the USAF... but it is what it is.

"Sunport" always cracks me up. It just seems so contrived...

Welcome Home!!

Sometimes coming home is the best part of being away. Reminds you why you live where you do and why you love it.

Welcome back!
