We had snow every day we were in Santa Fe this past week...from a heavy snow shower as we arrived in the city Wednesday night ... to flurries along with high wind on Thursday and Friday ... to about three inches on the ground on Saturday morning. It gave us a little preview of how our new house will look in the winter when we have snow.
Here are some pictures John took at our house:

What excellent pics, Sharon! The views from your new home are great...
Aside: this is exactly how I enjoy snow: when it (a) falls on someone else and (b) they post pictures of it! ;-)
Towanda - Excellent photos and wahta great story. This is SoggyInSeattle and you make me want to move more than ever!! And maybe, just maybe I can live with those covenants in Eldorado for a house like that!! :-) It just looks perfect!!! We go for our first fact-finding mission in June and like you - next spring seems just too far away!!! Unfortunately we won't be retired and so have to find those pesky things called jobs. Wish us luck!!
Buck ~ I love the snow, especially at my house! Seems to be the best part of the snow in Santa Fe is that as soon as the sun comes out, the snow all melts. I was so glad we had a chance to see how our house is going to look in the winter. We had a lot of wind up there on the high ground during the weekend. We were told this is the "windy season." I am starting to wonder if every season is the "windy season" in New Mexico. haha...
SoggyInSeattle ~ how on earth did you find my blog? I am SO GLAD you are here ... keep checking back and you can follow our progress and learn more about our move and our new experiences. We have been visiting Santa Fe for almost 40 years now, but until we become residents, I guess we won't know what it is really going to be like.
Wandering over from Buck's site--beautiful house! I've only driven thru Santa Fe once, my husband should take me there sometime. Looks very scenic. It's amazing the scenery changes throughout New Mexico. I live in E. NM (very close to Buck) and it's just flat as a pancake out here!
Congrats on almost being a New Mexican!
Jenny! Thank you for visiting! It's so nice to meet more New Mexico people. I have never been to Portales ... maybe someday ... I want to see all of New Mexico!
I'm going to check out your blog.
Be sure to visit often here!
