"I think that New Mexico was the greatest experience from the outside world that I ever had.
It certainly changed me forever ... The moment I saw the brilliant proud morning (sun) shine high up over the deserts of Santa Fe,
something stood still in my soul."

Santa Fe doorways
Doorways in the Acequia Madre area of downtown Santa Fe:
Those are wonderful! Oh, how I long for a cat-escape-proof courtyard so that 'the boys' can go out again. Thank you for this delightful inspiration tour ... inspiration and enthusiasm have been lagging lately.
Lin - Can't cats just jump over the walls? It took a while getting used to all the walls here -- everyone in the city seems to be living behind them -- but they do give a lot of charm to the residential neighborhoods. I think we should all come out to your place and build you a walled courtyard!!!
Val - we could have a whole hobby just taking pictures of the doorways in this city. (Sounds like a book idea ... hint hint ....)

Love these doorways... I want a home with a courtyard so I can have a "doorway" too.
Hey Soggy, I am betting you will get your "doorway" someday!
Wow - those are just gorgeous! I especially love the one with the mailboxes.
These are beautiful!!!
