"I think that New Mexico was the greatest experience from the outside world that I ever had.
It certainly changed me forever ... The moment I saw the brilliant proud morning (sun) shine high up over the deserts of Santa Fe,
something stood still in my soul."

More scenes around Santa Fe
I had a few more cool pictures of Santa Fe that we took during Christmas week that I never posted .. I LOVE this city!
You have such a good eye for photography, Sharon. Or John. Whomever... it's great good stuff!
Is it just me, or does the predominant shade of blue seen in Santa Fe (on trim, doors, and the like) seem more turquoise in hue than that found in Taos?
The pictures in this post were all John's. He loves the creative part.
I am not familiar enough with Taos to know about the colors ... but I DO KNOW that parts of Santa Fe, including the downtown area, have approved traditional colors that property owners are required to choose from ... there seem to be a lot of shades of blues.
Lou spent a lot of time in northern NM -- maybe she can tell us more...
