HAPPY NEW MEXICO TO US!

It was one year ago today that we arrived in New Mexico and became residents of the state.

ONE YEAR! How quickly the time passes and what a wonderful year this has been. We feel more at home with each passing day, and I know I want to live out the remainder of my life in this place that feels like paradise.

Today we celebrate ... then we go on to hopefully many more years of life as residents of the Land of Enchantment.

(The bear belonged to my daughter when she was younger. When he arrived in New Mexico with us, we placed him in one of the dining room chairs until we could find a suitable place for him. 365 days later, he is still there.)

Happy Anniversary on your move to New Mexico!!

Was in Santa Fe on a field trip with the 4th graders the other day and drove by a sign that said Eldorado. Don't know if it was yours or not, but I waved anyway. LOL!

And here's my best wishes that you and the bear are sitting there many, many years from now - enjoying that porridge together in the NM morning light!

Thanks you guys for all your good wishes.

Lin -- haha ... I had this flash of me at about 80 years of age shuffling around my kitchen and that bear still sitting there watching me.

SO THAT'S WHERE MY BEAR WENT!!! I guess in a way he's bridging the life you had in the past with this new life. And, keeping you grounded. And, helping you to remember me. :)

And don't even THINK of ever trying to get that bear away from here. LOL!

Yes, he does help me remember you ... and Tesla jumping on him and trying to kill him ... and the house in Kansas.
