*Warning!* Political Opinion!

Okay. I stay away from liberal political topics on this blog, because my purpose in posting here is to chronicle life in New Mexico ... but this qualifies as such, so here goes:

I saw this bumper sticker in a parking lot in Santa Fe the other day:

"IT IS TIME WE REALIZE THAT WE ARE ALL FAMILY".

HUH?

NO WE ARE NOT.

I am not "family" with Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, etc. etc. etc.

I am not "family" with William Ayers or Rev. Jeremiah Wright or Senators Schumer, Boxer, Reid, Durbin, Leahy or many others.

I am not "family" with Representatives Barney Frank or Charlie Rangel... or Speaker Pelosi.

I am not "family" with Al Franken or OJ Simpson.

I'm not "family" with Alec Baldwin or Barbra Streisand or Rosie O'Donnell or Joy Behar.

The new age touchy feely mindset in Santa Fe can come up with some zingers that leave my head spinning at times.

Ah, Sharon. T'is the price one must pay for living in a highly desirable area, no? I give you Berkeley (and nearly everywhere in Kally-forhn-eee-ya, except for Orange County), Ann Arbor, Seattle, Aspen as further examples... the list goes on. And ON. All one can do is "grin and bear it." And express YOUR opinion, with which I'm in TOTAL agreement! ;-)

I leave you with the thought of your favorite x-files episode entitled..."Home".

Someone explain to that dolt the definition of the word "incest".

Did you move to Santa Fe, NM. or Santa Fe, AR.?

Buck _ I am afraid my big mouth is going to take over one of these days and I will have to let the libs have it.

Brian - "Home"-the incest episode on X-Files. It fits!!! LOL LOL!!!!

I agree Towanda. I thought we were leaving it all behind when we left Seattle (I left probably the only other Republican up there all alone & unprotected, sigh) but alas, I'm in as blue a state (at least area) as what I left.

I'm all for making peace and loving one another but there are also limits to that as well. Some one has to love us back... and I'm not feeling much love.

Amen to this blog. Too many bleeding hearts in the country. I've got a T-shirt (also a coffee cup and hat) that has a peace symbol with a B-52 in the circle, around the edge says "PEACE, THE OLD FASHIONED WAY". Love to piss off the bleeding hearts. Red

How did we all end up in this blue blue state? Except Brian - he is still fighting to keep MO red.

Sogs - the touchy feely lib stuff just really gets to me, especially when we seem so out-numbered.

Red -- LOVE your hat! HAHA! I am wondering if you have gotten comments about it. Is your area of NM pretty liberal too? I can't imagine anything more so than Santa Fe. *whew*

I love it! Good for you and I'm in total agreement.

Trust me I understand your feelings - I'm a conservative trapped in the liberal wasteland that is New England. Talk about feeling alone - I grew up in the "Kennedy country" of MA and now live in Dem-central CT.

GACK!!!

Though every so often I am encouraged when I see things like this on the back of a car on my way home from work:

Buy a Gun. Piss off a Liberal.
