"I think that New Mexico was the greatest experience from the outside world that I ever had.
It certainly changed me forever ... The moment I saw the brilliant proud morning (sun) shine high up over the deserts of Santa Fe,
something stood still in my soul."

First snow at Towanda's
Our first snow here in Eldorado occurred on Thanksgiving Day. It didn't last very long, but it was beautiful for a short while. And we are ready for MORE!
I'm with ya on the first snow, Sharon. It's pretty... and if there's enough, ya get that great good sense of a silent world, with only the sound of your feet crunching in the new snow to break that silence. I love all that... once a year. But ONLY once. ;-)
Hi Sharon. We've only gotten a smattering of snow so far. Very nice photos! We enjoy the four seasons. Fortunately, we don't have the 6 months of winter like we had where I grew up, Buffalo area.
Better get the snow blower out before we get hit with a big one here in Cedar Crest. Red
Hamburg, about 20 miles south of Buffalo. When I was a little guy, if I fell off the back porch in the winter, I went out of sight. We'll have to talk about the 'old days' and the rusty cars there. Red

Pretty! We had a few flakes attempt to fall here on Sunday, but that has been it. A good snow for Christmas sounds good though.

Red! You're kidding!! You are from the Buffalo area??????
I grew up near Rochester NY and still have a lot of relatives there!
Small world! AND-- the snow we get out here in NM will be nothing like the old days of two foot snowstorms in western NY.
Buck -- you lived in upstate NY too -- I am sure you saw some snow storms you will never forget!
