"I think that New Mexico was the greatest experience from the outside world that I ever had.
It certainly changed me forever ... The moment I saw the brilliant proud morning (sun) shine high up over the deserts of Santa Fe,
something stood still in my soul."

O Christmas Tree
The tree is up and decorated and it doesn't look half bad. (Okay so it needed a little grafting and tweaking to make it presentable.)
I need to go read the instruction book and learn how to take pictures of lights in a dim room.
The tree looks wonderful to me! As do the pics, too.

A tripod helps... a lot. You can set a low shutter speed and not worry about camera shake with a tripod. I use the camera's self-timer (set the timer, push the button, and stand back!) and a tripod often in low-light situations.
I love my ladder but I will certainly get a tree next year. It's just not really Christmas without one. :-(
We are off to Eastern NM to visit the parents and grandparents for Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas and let's see if we can't meet in person after the new year.

Really beautiful tree! And Buck is right on the money - you need a tripod to take these kinds of pics.
NOT that there is anything wrong with these. They really show the beauty of the tree in a very soft way. Nice.

Tree looks excellent! Looking forward to getting together with you, John and Linda. Red
