"I think that New Mexico was the greatest experience from the outside world that I ever had. It certainly changed me forever ... The moment I saw the brilliant proud morning (sun) shine high up over the deserts of Santa Fe, something stood still in my soul." ~D.H. Lawrence

Our day at the Plaza in Santa Fe.
Today we went to the absolutely wonderful brand spanking new New Mexico History Museum just behind the Palace of the Governor's on the Plaza in Santa Fe. They have done a wonderful job creating an extraordinary special place to learn about the history of our state and to appreciate the richness of this amazing place we call home now.
Afterwards we went to lunch at the Plaze Cafe which is our favorite restaurant on the Plaza. The food there is always fantastic.
Below is one of the many interesting sculptures which make the Plaza so interesting and fun.

Ah... the Plaza Cafe, one of Santa Fe's greatest lil pleasures!
Looks like fun at the Plaza!
I've been meaning to go to the new museum but haven't yet. We also like the Plaza Cafe -- all except my eldesst daughter who only wants to eat at Blue Corn or Subway.
