Starting the Enchanted Circle

We left Monday morning for a road trip around the Enchanted Circle and also side trips to Cimarron and Abiquiu. We logged almost 600 miles in three days. The northern New Mexico scenery is breathtaking in many locations, and we got many great pictures.

These first two were taken in Pojoaque just north of Santa Fe at the beginning of our drive. First is the familiar landmark Camel Rock, and the second is the Catholic Church in Pojoaque, which looks quite new.

When I was a little girl, my parents took us to Camel Rock and we climbed all over it. I don't remember anything else about the trip.

I remember taking my kids to Camel Rock when they were little, too. My brother in law, who is visiting us, really thought Camel Rock is neat.
